Daylight Photo Cleaner · Updated 6 October 2026

Daylight does not send your photos, videos, review choices, or library identifiers to Marimia Trading FZ-LLC. The app has no advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, account, or developer backend.

Photos and local progress

With your permission, Daylight reads accessible photos, videos, dates and media sizes to help you choose what to keep or delete. Choices, Photos identifiers, completion records and deletion totals are saved in the app's protected storage on this iPhone and excluded from backups. Daylight uses previews in memory and also saves temporary photo previews and copies of some videos in a protected local cache on your iPhone to speed up viewing. The cache is excluded from device backups and older cached files are removed as its size limit is reached. These cached files are not uploaded to Marimia. When you choose Share, Daylight prepares a temporary protected copy for the iPhone share sheet and removes it after sharing. The service you select receives the shared media and its privacy policy applies.

Progress stays until you uninstall the app. Updates preserve it. Removing Photos permission does not erase saved choices. To revoke access, open iPhone Settings → Apps → Daylight → Photos (on older iOS versions, Settings → Daylight → Photos). To erase Daylight's local progress, delete the app; offloading alone does not erase app data. This does not delete your Photos library.

Apple services and security

Photos may download your iCloud originals for display or size measurement. This can use mobile data. Your Apple Photos and iCloud settings govern those transfers. With iCloud Photos, confirmed deletions sync across your devices; recovery is managed in Photos → Recently Deleted. Daylight cannot empty Recently Deleted.

Apple handles Face ID, Touch ID or device-passcode authentication. Daylight receives an authentication result, not your biometric data or passcode. It hides media in the app switcher and locks when backgrounded. These protections do not restrict access to Apple's Photos app or protect against someone who knows your device passcode.

Support and purchases

If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are received by Marimia Trading FZ-LLC and its email provider to respond to you. Please do not send private photos. We use support correspondence to handle your request and retain it only as needed for support and applicable legal obligations. You can request its deletion by email, subject to those obligations.

Apple handles App Store payments and its own diagnostics under Apple's policies. The app does not collect payment details. We do not sell your personal information or share your photo library with advertisers or data brokers.

For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@marimiagroup.com. This policy may be updated when the app's practices change; the updated date will be shown here.
