Using Daylight
Daylight helps you review your Photos library and decide what to keep or delete. Use it only with media you have permission to manage. You retain your rights to your photos and videos. The app does not transfer ownership of your media to Marimia.
Your choices and deletion
A swipe records a choice; it does not delete media. Review the deletion queue carefully before confirming. Apple’s Photos permission and confirmation processes also apply. With iCloud Photos enabled, confirmed deletions may affect your library on other devices.
Photos controls its Recently Deleted album and recovery period. Daylight cannot empty that album or recover media after Apple’s recovery window ends. Keep independent copies of media you want to preserve. Daylight is not a photo backup service.
Progress and storage information
Review choices and statistics are saved locally. The current version excludes that local progress from device backups, so it may not transfer to another iPhone. Removing the app erases its local progress; this alone does not delete media from Photos. Revoking Photos access can limit which items the app can show.
Storage figures describe measured media resources deleted through Daylight, not guaranteed space reclaimed on your iPhone. iCloud optimization, Recently Deleted, edited media and other system behavior can affect the actual space available. Reading iCloud originals may require an internet connection and use mobile data.
Purchases and access
Daylight offers annual access and a separate one-time lifetime purchase for its review and cleanup features. Any introductory trial is available only when offered in the app and confirmed on Apple’s purchase screen. Apple’s purchase screen shows the actual localized price, duration and trial eligibility before you confirm. We do not take payment on this website.
An annual subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. A trial converts to paid annual access unless cancelled in time. Apple charges your Apple Account and handles renewal billing. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewal; access normally continues until the current entitlement expires, subject to Apple’s rules and refunds.
Lifetime access is a separate one-time purchase without recurring billing. Buying it does not cancel an existing annual subscription; cancel that subscription through Apple if you no longer want it to renew.
Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used to buy access. Saved review choices remain after annual access expires, but review and cleanup require an active entitlement. Refund requests are handled by Apple, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Privacy and support
Our Privacy Policy explains Photos permissions, local storage and support correspondence. For help, email hello@marimiagroup.com, keeping [Daylight] in the subject. Please do not send private photos or Apple Account credentials.
App licence and your rights
When distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies unless another licence is provided there. These service terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms as Daylight develops. Material changes will be communicated through the app or this website as appropriate. Subscription price changes follow Apple’s applicable notice and consent processes.
